White Howlite 10mm Beaded Bracelet w/ Vintage Silver Plated Medal of St. Louis IX of France

This is a beautiful and rare find.  A deeply embossed medal of St. Louis IX of France, the only French king to be canonized by the Catholic Church.  He ruled from 1226-1270 and was known as a model of virtue, holiness and diplomacy and his ability to mediate disputes.  He is the patron saint of France, the French monarchy, barbers, construction workers, difficult marriages, distillers, parenthood and prisoners among many others.  His Feast Day is August 25.
