This is an Art Deco impression of Our Lady Of Lourdes from France.  It was most likely a medal of pilgrimage by another soul in another time.  Perhaps that person is no longer in need of the healing graces from Lourdes, but you perhaps are?  

On the back is St. Bernadette kneeling before the Blessed Mother in the Grotto at Lourdes.  A simply beautiful testament of faith.
