This is a signed deeply embossed silver plate medal featuring Our Lady of Loreto patron saint of airline pilots, flight attendants, and those serving in The Air Force.  The title refers to the house in which she was born and raised and in which the angel Gabriel visited her in the Annunciation.  According to a fifteenth-century legend, when the Virgin Mary's house in Nazareth came under threat by invading Saracen armies, it was miraculously transported in 1291 from the Holy Land to Loreto Italy.  Our Lady of Loreto teaches us to make a home for Jesus in the world.
