Druzy Agate Gray 12mm Beaded Bracelet with Sacred Heart of Jesus Antique Silver Medal

This exquisite lacy medal is from France and features the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front and the the pilgrimage site that is best known for the Sacred Heart; Paray-le-Monial.  This town is considered the center of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  

The town's religious significance dates back to the 17th century when Jesus appeared to a nun named Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque at the Visitation monastery.  During these apparitions, Christ revealed his Sacred Heart and gave a message of his immense love for humanity, asking that a feast be established in its honor.  This medal is from the year 1900.  A truly special testament of faith over the centuries.
