Crazy Lace Agate 16mm Beaded Bracelet w/ Medal from France of Virgin Mary

16 mm crazy lace agate beads with a medal from France representing the Virgin Mary. Inscribed on the front of the medal is "Notre-Dame de la Tronchaye Rocheford".  The statue image was hidden in a tree trunk during the 10th century at the time of the Norman Invasions by a priest to protect it from pillage. The word Tronchaye comes from the word trunk.  Two centuries later it was found by a shepherdess, and a church was built there.

On the back is St. Christopher crossing a dangerous river with the child Jesus on his back.
