This is a beloved saint of many people, St. Therese of Liseaux also known as The Little Flower.  She joined the convent at age 15 and took on the most menial of tasks all for the Glory of God.  Her little way to holiness is written about in her autobiography, The Story of a Soul.  On the back of the medal is a cross with roses.  St. Therese will send roses to you as a devotion to her.
